In a high-scoring thriller at Eden Gardens, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) posted a mammoth total of 238/3 in their 20 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
After being put in to bat, LSG got off to a flying start and maintained the momentum throughout the innings. Mitchell Marsh set the tone early with a blistering knock, taking the attack to the KKR bowlers. He was well supported by Nicholas Pooran, who unleashed a brutal assault in the latter stages, smashing boundaries and sixes at will.
The KKR bowlers struggled to contain the onslaught as Marsh and Pooran stitched together a game-changing partnership. Despite a few breakthroughs, KKR found it difficult to stem the flow of runs.
With a commanding total on the board, LSG will now look to defend 238 and strengthen their position in the points table, while KKR will need a record-breaking chase to secure a win.
